Dear
Editor,
I am deeply saddened by the firing of Michael Moran, Executive Director
of TCAN (The Center for the Arts in Natick). Michael Moran is the
heart and soul of TCAN. As Founder, he has led this marvelous organization
from the little store front theatre and art gallery on Main St. to
its beautiful location on Summer St. in the old firehouse. I think
he has worked 15 hours a day making this organization a success and
a vital part of the Natick community.
I have friends, a lovely family with two children, who had to move
to New England from Oak Park, Illinois. They chose to live in Natick
because of TCAN, and that is a tribute to Michael's leadership. Michael's
hands on leadership has engendered tremendous support from the Natick
community and the whole Metro West area.
I sincerely
hope that the Board of Directors and Michael Moran and his supporters
will find a way to talk together about this situation and that Michael
will be reinstated as Executive Director.
Bettie Magee,
Natick
